5.    Since we have a full time Executive Director with rich expertise in Training, and Consultancy, we have more available workshops and contents for you to choose from to sharpen your instructors' and training designers' skills than any other provider.

My warm greeting to Donors, KDP members and clients;

 

Training and Consulting Service run by NGOs remain very useful and effective for many clients all over Cambodia. KDP has started at the right time. Under the Cambodian leadership working with a team of Cambodian professionals, with support of foreign advisers/ experts and practitioners, we aimed to mobilize and enrich expertise and knowledge through delivery of capacity building, training and multi-consultancy services to donors, NGOs, CBOs, Government and private institutions. Our integrated and practical mission is to generate incomes for helping the poor people in Cambodia.

“Khmer Development Program-KDP" is a non-governmental organization working to help the poor communities through its integrated rural development programs mainly in the sector of Agriculture, Climate Change, Health, Education, Social Development, Gender Equality, Woman Empowerment and Livelihood. To support and ensure sustainability of its program, KDP had been providing varies of the consultancy services to clients in order to generate incomes to contribute to the poor people. This is meaning that 20% of incomes from the consultancy will contribute to the integrated rural development program where hundreds of vulnerable poor people participated. Through our efforts, we promote the importance of health, human rights and humanitarian needs, fundamental needs, and the use of talents and resources to bring practical solutions for the poor's.

KDP's vision is to support initiative ideas of vulnerable groups, and enhance the capacity of the community based and non-governmental organizations for develop their living condition and promote their knowledge, skill and career, not standing on the absolutely poverty line for long time. Our mission is see Cambodia as a country where poverty is longer exist, people enjoy with the welfare and environment around and proud to be living in the happiness family and capable to make changes in the society. In order to achieve the above stated mission, KDP has recently changed and designed a new strategy looking at more effective and efficient ways to work as partnership with NGOs through out Cambodia. KDP Capacity Building Partnership program focusing on enhancing capacity of NGOs members in managing its institutional and organizational network and program to ensure long lasting development program and to ensure sustainability of their member's organizations. KDP is targeting 5 Cambodian NGOs in each of the 10 provinces in its pilot program to be the member who will have full access to KDP Training, fund Raising and other Consultancy services. 

Today, KDP has expended its program on capacity building nationwide by focusing on 6 areas and cover 10 provinces in its pilot program such as Pursat, Kratie, Steung Treeg, Svay Rieng, Prey Veng, Kompong Cham, Modol Kiri, Rattanak Kiri, Siem Riep and Kondal (Phnomm Penh) province. Individuals and NGOs are eligible to me KDP full members. As for membership, you will definitely deserve no costs to access to all the KDP Training, Fund Raising and Technical supports. I am very please to announce that the membership is full for Svay Rieng, however we still need 1-2 members for the mentioned provinces to complete the 5 maximum membership in each province.

KDP Capacity Building and Consultancy Team is a combination of professionals local people and international experts. KDP is now working with a large multidisciplinary and well known team of individuals and firms. For Program Evaluation, Mr. Khoun Bunny, Executive Director will take the lead with a joint effort of local professionals and international experts from Mekong Think Tank (MTT) and other firms. However, since this is non-profit organization, we would prefer our clients to select KDP resources persons that will facilitated by Mr. Bunny as a Team Leader. Our report is meeting the standard as we will hire International Intern and specialist to do the editing to ensure proficiency of the professional and academic English writing. For Media Services: We have a group of media specialists who were coming from TVK, TV Bayon, and CTN. They have excellent experience in producing documentary film, TV shows and Video document. For Translation and Interpretation: We have had individual consultants who have been working in this field for more than 10 years with The Asia Foundation (TAF), United Nations Criminal Curt on Khmer Rouge and PYRAMID. Besides translation and interpretation, they have been working in many areas such as human rights, legal and laws, humanitarian, economic and social development and etc. For Natural Resource Management: We have a group of experts from line Ministries, especially the department of forest, fishery and legislation and law enforcement who can significantly assist clients in areas of planning, conflict management and solving community problems (related to fish, forest and land). For Workshop and Training: Mr. Khoun Bunny, the Executive Director will take the leading role as well as provide the training by himself. Mr. Bunny has been providing training since 1995, at his first training job with CRD, SST, VBNK (previously called MOD) and CWS. Mr. Prom Nga has over ten years work experience with international NGOs and UN projects in areas of food security, sustainable agriculture development, community development and wetlands conservation. He previously worked for three years for IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) with a joint GEF/UNDP/IUCN/MRC Mekong Wetlands Biodiversity Program as the Provincial Project Co-Manager, Stung Treng Demonstration Site. Prior working with IUCN, Nga used to work with the UNDP/Partnership for Local Governance Project as Agriculture Development Advisor, based in Ratanakiri province. Nga also had been employed by HEKS-Swiss Interchurch Aid as the Country Coordinator in a Food Security program for two years (2005-2007) before he moved to his development consultancy jobs mainly in areas of program evaluation, organizational assessment, training and baseline studies for NGOs and donor agencies in Cambodia. In addition, Mr. Nga holds a BSc. in Agronomy and a Master Degree in Development Management from Norton University in Phnom Penh. He currently holds a PhD candidate in Political Science at Royal Academy of Cambodia in Phnom Penh.
 
He is also presently working as a consultant, mainly providing consultancy services to NGOs, donors and the government agencies. He has successfully completed various program evaluation and reviews assignments related to capacity building, saving-led micro credit, income generation, sustainable agriculture, community fisheries, organizational assessment, HIV/AIDS, primary health care, mine education and risk reduction, environment education, gender based violence, etc.

Mr. Khoun Bunny is a Gender and Development Specialist. He has over 15 years work experience with International organizations and UN projects. He had successfully completed various consultancies in relation to training, project evaluations and organizational assessment for local and international NGOs working in Cambodia as well as government institutions. He has just resigning from UNIFEM which we were implementing the regional programme on empowering women migrant workers and anti-trafficking project. As national project coordinator of UNIFEM he is well know as activist in managing the powerful migration programme in Cambodia.

He had obtained two masters degrees in gender and development from the Philippines and Master in Management in Art and Consultancy (distance learning) from USA. Besides, he had International deploma in Institutional Development and Organizational Strengthening (Intensive course) from Management for Development Foundation, The Netherlands since 1997 and the International Human Rights and Law at John Abbott College in Montreal, Canada.
